• Account data: Name and email address provided via Clerk authentication (Google sign-in or email).
• Profile data: Your CV/resume and job description that you upload to configure your interview sessions.
• Session data: Interview session names and configurations you create.
• Usage data: Minutes used, session counts, and subscription plan details.
• Audio data: Audio captured during live interview sessions is streamed for real-time transcription. It is not stored on our servers after processing.
• Payment data: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the SilentCue service.
• To generate AI-powered interview answers based on your CV and job description.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To communicate with you about your account or in response to support requests.
• To enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party services necessary to operate SilentCue:

• Clerk — authentication and identity management.
• Supabase — secure database storage of your profile and session data.
• Deepgram — real-time speech-to-text transcription of audio during interviews.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI model used to generate interview answers.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.

Each provider has its own privacy policy and is contractually bound to protect your data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your profile data (CV, job description, session configurations) for as long as your account is active. Audio streamed during sessions is not stored after processing. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Cookies & Tracking

SilentCue uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
• Data portability.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, JWT-based authentication, and role-based database access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

SilentCue is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of SilentCue after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
